Who are we?

We are a leading regional firm of business lawyers with a national and international reputation and core competence in the fields of taxation and occupational pension funds. In addition, we have an independent civil law practice with a notary’s office.

Our firm was formed in 2011 by lawyers who had previously worked together as a team in a major law firm for many years.

Our independence will allow us to become part of your existing team of advisors. If necessary we can recommend experts to you from our network with whom we have had good experience.

Naturally we carry out all your instructions gladly and professionally. In keeping with motto „anything but everyday“ we particularly like demanding clients with unusual and challenging requirements.

We are not satisfied with just any idea. We want to provide you, our clients, with above average service; and we want to fully convince you and make you completely enthusiastic.

We at Ludwig + Partner consider each client unique und approach each subject with the utmost attention, concentration and interest. In other words: anything but everyday.


What is important to us…

Most of the experts in our firm of lawyers have completed two courses of training: five of our lawyers are also Swiss Certified Tax Experts; one woman lawyer also manages our notary’s offices in Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft; two lawyers are currently completing their second course of training as Swiss Certified Tax Experts. This makes us one of the largest teams of tax experts in the Basel Region.

In addition, we are adding to our team: a specialist for tax compliance, an experienced accountant, a jurist training to become a fully fledged lawyer and our assistants.

We maintain intensive contact and exchanges within the firm. The interdisciplinary expertise also benefits our clients at all times.

We strive for moderate growth and have made it our objective to prepare experienced colleagues for economic independence with their own client base. We therefore selectively invest in specialist training, on the one hand, and give our colleagues an opportunity to express their individual personalities on the other.

Absolute discretion is taken for granted. In dealing with our clients we attach importance to honesty, clarity and respect. We seek the highest standards of professional competence and communication.

The framework

We welcome visits and phone calls to our office on any weekday at any time from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. Naturally, consultations outside our office hours can be agreed upon by way of exception. If necessary, we can be available to you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.


The fees for our services are based on the amount of work involved, depending on the complexity of the subject matter, the lawyer’s training and experience, the entire volume of the project and the entire period of consultation. There is a notarial tariff for notarial services.

If the nature of our activity allows this, cost lump sums and cost ceilings can also be agreed upon. Statements of account are regularly prepared, as a rule on a monthly or quarterly basis, as desired.
